RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav, convicted in the fodder scam case Devogore Treasury case, has been sentenced to three and a half years. Lalu too has been fined Rs 5 lakhs. While Jagdish Sharma has been sentenced to 6 years’ imprisonment for seven years and fine of Rs 10 lakh has been imposed.
All the culprits, including Lalu, will be kept in the open jail of Hazaribagh. Lalu’s counsel Prabhat Kumar said that on Monday, he will get a copy of the decision from the court. After reading it, they will appeal for bail in the High Court.
After the sentence has been pronounced, a tweet has been tweeted by Lalu Yadav’s Twitter handle, in which he has tried to prove his innocence, Lalu believes that he is fighting for social justice, whose punishment is getting him.
