PM Narendra Madi received this award in order to take historical steps in the field of environment. UN Chief Antonio Guterres honored the Prime Minister on Wednesday in a program which is held in Delhi.
In addition to PM Modi, Champions of Earth award also gave to President of France Immanuel Mancro. A few days ago, the award was announced from the UN. During this, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was also present there.
In the program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India always saw nature as a mother. He said that it is a tribute to tribals, farmers, and fishermen of India. For all these, life also goes according to nature. PM Modi said that this is a respect for women of India, who take care of plants.
Modi said that as long as the concern of climate is not concerned with culture, it is difficult to eliminate the problem.
